GOYARD JEANNE GM, MY CLOSET is a wonderful collectible to have from the Goyard family. Although i purchased this bag from Barney’s in Los Angeles in 2007, I have yet to customize it. I sat down with a nice salesgirl at Bergdorf Goodman several months ago pre-Holiday season to discuss options but was a bit overwhelmed. They offer everything from stripes to skulls to hearts to initials and in many different color combinations. The bag is very classic and preppy in its shape and pedigree so I don’t want to be clumsy with the design. I have been meaning to go back and re-evaluate with Bergdorfs.
With my birthday coming up, why not merge a practical need with a decadent desire? I would like to add a small but functional cross-body bag into my wardrobe. I have a black nylon Prada. Too sporty. It does its job for when i go grocery shopping or jogging. I’ve also had it for over ten years and worn it out. I also have a petite silver sequin Chanel bag. It’s very luxurious and sparkly, but allots only a tube of lipstick, some cash, credit cards and id’s so it’s not very functional- a little party bag! My wishlist has on it either a Chanel cross-body mini classic bag in beige or pink, or the Goyard Belvedere PM, in perhaps an orange, navy or green. Of course, there is always the Hermès Evelyne PM.
